A warm and sunny afternoon started in some confusion with the Fitch CC arriving for a 1.30 start and the Blues difting up 5 mins past 2! All that and a junior club bar-b-que who didn't know we were playing!
Batting - highlights: tenacious 60 from Ben A; powerful cameo from Deano; Sam S almost hitting a Golf with his lofted drive into the road; welcome to Tom J on debut. Total 195 off 30 overs.
Tea: great spread thanks to Sarah - who Tom says is really keen to do it again!
Bowling - highlights: Gloveman Metto - "definitely not a drop off the first ball"; Rich's first touch this season of a cricket ball would have graced any juggling act; Ed bowled his dad Rodney (but when he went the scoring rate went up); Blues engineered an exciting finish - 9 needed off last over! then 2 off the last ball, and we managed to turn a certain single into a two!
