The Blues returned to winning ways at picturesque Shamley Green. Things did not get off to a great start for the Blues, electing to field they were initially put to the sword by Shamley Green?s West Indian Opener, who, after facing the opening ball of the day from Freeman, sent his helmet back to the pavilion and proceeded to bombard the surrounding houses. At 50 for 0 off 5 overs things were looking a little ominous. Luckily for the Blues, Rich Mullet bowled a wonderful spell, dismissing the West Indian and two of his colleague to bring the Blues back into the game. Zubes then spun his web and Shamley were skittled for 174 just before tea. Jansa and Jordan shared an opening stand of 80, with Marcus playing particularly well to see off a hostile spell from the aforementioned opening bat. Das and Corcoran then knocked off the remaining runs with a minimum of fuss to steer the Blues to a comfortable victory.
